Private jet operators are scrambling to get their hands on planes to meet the insane demand, and the industry’s biggest player ust snagged 100 new jets.
Embraer said recently that it had inked an agreement worth more than $1.2 billion to supply an extra 100 planes to NetJets. The Phenom 300E planes are expected to be delivered by Embraer in the second quarter of 2023. NetJets offers shared ownership of private business airplanes, a corporation based in the United States.

Embraer shares listed in Brazil surged 6% when the deal was announced. An Embraer spokesman confirmed that Berkshire Hathaway-owned NetJets would employ the new aircraft for its domestic and European operations.

The NetJets executive in charge of the deal said: ”The Embraer Phenom 300 has been a mainstay of NetJets’ fleet for many years. Phenom 300E procurement demonstrates our commitment to providing our Owners with unparalleled travel experiences, as well as extending our long-standing relationship with Embraer.
First deliveries of the Phenom 300E planes, which are currently in development, are expected from Embraer by early in the second quarter of 2023.
Embraer Phenom 300s have been part of the NetJets fleet for many years and are one of six plane models in the NetJets fleet. The other jets in the fleet are the Cessna Citation Latitude, the Bombardier Challenger 350, and the Bombardier Global 600.
